New Cloud Tuning Feature

New Cloud Tuning Feature

Image
Gone are the days of endlessly meddling with sliders in an attempt to get an optimal driving experience for each car and track. Simply launch a "cloud designated" profile from the Sim Commander main screen. As you change cars and tracks, we'll automatically "cloud tune" your profile to provide an optimal AccuForce, G-Belt, G-Seat, SimVibe and Stage Series Motion Simulator experience.

Starting with version 4.2.0.0, which is due to be released in late May 2020, Sim Commander will offer fully automated profile tuning for all SimXperience devices. This feature is the result of a massive 4 year data gathering effort that now exceeds 20 million data points. This new "SimXperience Community Cloud Database" is yet another industry-first innovation that simplifies the user experience for all SimXperience devices.

You simply click and drive. The SimXperience cloud tuning advisor will keep you apprised, speaking status aloud in one of four language options.

It's also possible to customize a profile by setting custom effect intensities, smoothing levels and filters, then have the auto cloud tuning feature fill in the peaks, giving you best of both worlds.

SimXperience remains committed to providing the most immersive, highly-configurable, simple to use, racing simulation products. Please join us in the SimXperience Owners Club forum to help shape this innovation and the future of racing simulation.

Well, don't I feel a little silly for all those hours I dumped into researching how to tune SC4 while waiting on my wheel order.

In all seriousness, what a potentially fantastic feature, especially for us SC4/AF2 noobs. Can't wait to check it out!

I'm really surprised this hasn't made the iRacing Hardware Forum yet. This is BIG news and makes life SO much easier for both hobbyist and professional (sim center) users. I'm really looking forward to being able to showcase this feature at Indy Simulation.

I think most folks are somewhat intimidated with Sim Commander software, but this sounds incredible. So Sim Commander will automatically "cloud tune" each car, just by switching cars and/or tracks? This makes Sim Commander basically and totally automated!

Hi. Just wondering where the update is? I'm still on 4.1.24.0. Supposed to be by late May.

The update is rolling out via the update mechanism within Sim Commander. Everyone should have the option to receive the update as of this morning. Release notes are in the Owners Club forum: https://www.simxperience.com/Default.aspx?tabid=742&g=posts&m=28423#post28423

I see that iRacing and AC are picked up already via the autodetec feature. does this work with AC Content Manager and the iRacing BetaUI?

It works with the iRacing Launcher UI. I don't know if it works for the 3rd party content manager software. We don't test for compatibility with game mods of any kind. That said, I believe we have someone in the beta test group that was using the content mgr without issue.

I have been testing out and it works great with the iRacing Launcher UI. Works great and is so much easier when going from different car types/tracks. Totally changes how I use Iracing. Great update!!!!!!!

If there is no audio voiceover when the track opens to drive, does that mean it didn't connect? This happened in RF2 just now.

It's a great feature... just want to understand when it is working and when it is not.

If there is no match, Sim Commander will say that no match was found and suggest that you manually auto-tune. Please be sure that you are launching a cloud enabled profile and that you are logged in to the Owners Club within Sim Commander and have Owners Club features enabled. You will see a cloud icon at the bottom-left of the main screen if you are utilizing the cloud features fully.

I will have to check when I use my rig next but last night I know that:

1) I did the auto-find to get a cloud launcher for RF2

2) I never heard a voiceover in RF2 despite loading RF2 two different times from the new cloud launcher

3) After using rF2, I used iRacing and heard the voiceover every time I entered a track.

The cloud tuning verification voice was initially a male voice, now it's a female voice (not that there's anything wrong with that). Is there a way for users to change it back to a male voice?

Since it supports PC2, makes me wonder how long it would take to support AMS2 (the game PC2 should have been)...

I did some research and now understand what it does. Sounds awesome....if you only play iRacing though which I don’t. Seems AC is not so good from what ive read which is a shame.. hopefully it will get more data and support.
