SimXperience simulators create the ultimate immersion by employing a variety of techniques. First and foremost we manipulate your inner ear / sense of balance to create a sense of motion. We combine this with minute body pressure cues by creating just enough roll and pitch to utilize your body weight to create these pressures. Finally, we combine the the body pressure and sense of balance manipulation with kinesthesia (skeletal and muscle pressure manipulation).

Our simulators are designed to optimize the principles of kinesthesia and proprioception. This concept is often applied in advanced Olympic training programs.

The fact is that no simulator can provide the full G-Forces, torque, etc.. that an actual vehicle can, therefore a simulator must fool the brain into perceiving these effects in an immersive manner. We achieve this with the three concepts described above, emphasizing muscle pressures.

The key to creating the properly scaled muscle pressures lies in the fact that we choose not to move the wheel and pedals, and only the occupant. You can easily see how under braking, for example, that we can apply the same pressure to the muscles in your wrist and forearms as would be applied in an actual vehicle. Simulators that attempt to move the entire cockpit (wheel included) could only create these pressures if they were able to create the exact same G-Forces as the real vehicle AND sustain them. Simple vibrating seat paddle simulators can create neither the muscle pressures or manipulate your sense of balance.

Our unique combination of these techniques results in one of the most advanced and immersive simulations available anywhere at any price.

However, it's not enough to simply create this immersion. The human brain will continually attempt to break the immersion by attempting to identify movements that are not to scale with real world movements or that were unexpected. We go to great lengths to ensure that each motion profile created meets a strict criteria that focuses on the reduction of these "negative motion cues". However, not everyone will be immersed by the exact same criteria and some tweaks to the motion profiles may be required to achieve near perfect immersion for a particular individual. The SimXperience Stage Series of simulators is based on our industry leading, low latency, parallel tasking Sim Commander 3 motion engine software. This software offers unbeatable ease of use, performance and immersion personalization.

A Motion Engine software is the key differentiator among motion simulators. The motion engine determines how the telemetry / physics data is interpreted and turns it into movement instructions. In short, it's the brains that gives a motion simulator motion. This software determines the overall performance and tunability of the motion simulator. When comparing motion simulators, we suggest that you examine the motion engine software as closely as you would the engine of a car.

In the past, motion simulators required a cluster of multiple PC's or extremely costly custom rack mount workstations. Those that didn't provide this type of computing power typically offered arcade style performance, but no more. An industry first, our Sim Commander Motion engine offers an extremely advanced, low latency, parallel tasking motion engine that takes full advantage of today's multi-core PC's such as the Intel Core i7. Utilizing this technology, we're able to considerably outperform $50,000 rack mount simulation systems at a fraction of the cost.

The Sim Commander 3 Motion Engine Software (included with all our simulators) provides varying levels of tuning capability to suit both novice and professional simulator users. Novice users can choose to utilize a pre-made setup or simply alter intensity on a per effect basis. For example, if you wish to feel more acceleration, simply increase the intensity of the acceleration slider.

Team Engineers and other professionals may choose to dig deeper in to the Sim Commanders tuning capabilities. All adjustments are expressed in common terms such as G's, degrees, degrees per second, etc. Additionally, each effect may be filtered in terms of velocities, accelerations, actuator stroke, smoothing and much more.

The Sim Commander Engine also provides advanced, yet easy to use tactile tuning capabilities in varying levels. Novice users can choose to utilize a pre-made setup or simply alter intensity on a per effect basis. For example, if you wish to feel more engine rpm or road surface derived chassis vibration, simply increase the intensity of these effects.

For the team engineer or more advanced home user, we offer a variety of further tuning options. All adjustments are expressed in common terms such as G's, degrees, degrees per second, etc. and full control is offered of the telemetry data relative to the frequency and amplitude of the vibrations. Finally, each effect may be filtered and located in the correct placement on the chassis. For example, wheel hop in the right rear will actually occur in the right rear of the simulator chassis.

rFactor is a computer racing simulator, designed with the ability to run any type of four-wheeled vehicle from street cars to open wheel cars of any era. rFactor aimed to be the most accurate race simulator of its time. Released in November 2005, rFactor did not have much competition in this market; however it featured many technical advances in tire modelling, complex aerodynamics and a 15 degrees of freedom physics engine. rFactor was developed by Image Space Incorporated (ISI), which has been developing simulators since the early 1990s for both commercial and military purposes. The gMotor-engine2 on which the game is based is a direct successor to the engine used in previous titles developed by ISI, most notably F1 Challenge '99-'02, released through EA Sports. The gMotor2 engine was also used in many Simbin games, including GT Legends, the GTR series and the Race series. A modified version of this engine was utilized by The Sim Factory for ARCA Sim Racing. ARCA Sim Racing is is a stock-car racing simulator based on Image Space Incorporated's game engine, GMotor2, which was used in rFactor.
